Homemade Whipped Cream
Hi All!
I LOVE making whipped cream, and eating it too! It goes with so many different treats and is very easy to make. So let’s jump right in and get to whipping!
Pro Tips:
I’ve made this whipped cream without using a hand mixer. It definitely requires more arm work, but it can be done! For this, I place a medium-sized metal mixing bowl in the freezer for at least an hour. When you remove the bowl from the freezer, make sure there are no ice bits in the bowl. Follow the directions below, using a metal whisk to whip the cream.
The colder the heavy or whipping cream is, the faster it solidifies and ultimately forms soft peaks.
All of the flavor comes from the vanilla and the confectioners sugar. You can adjust how much (or little) of these ingredients based on your taste preference.
Ingredients:
Heavy Cream or Whipping Cream
Confectioners Sugar
Vanilla Abstract
Instructions:
Pour 1 cup of heavy cream or whipping cream into a medium sized mixing bowl.. Using a mixer, whisk the cream for about 8-10 minutes, until the cream begins to solidify.
Add a 1/2 tea spoon of vanilla abstract.
Gradually add in 1/2 cup of sugar and continue to whisk until medium- sized peaks form.
Enjoy!!
